RIght jerk off's E3 is almost upon us in a few weeks we'll be either blown away or mildly disappointed (me i'm going for blown away) by what the major players have in store for us over the next 12 months. What am i most looking forward to this year?

1. Halo 5 goodness with some gameplay, maybe more information on Forge, Saved Films and a conclusion to the Hunt the Truth Campaign
2. Gears Of War news would go down super well i'd like to see concrete details on the new Gears franchise but we'll probably get a brief glimpse and loads on the Remastered Gears 1. Hopefully though they decide to go and remaster all 3 titles that would make me super happy.
3. Rise Of The Tomb Raider is my big white hope for Xbox One outside of Halo and from the little we've seen so far it looks fucking amazing. If ROTR improves on the utterly brilliant Tomb Raider Reboot than we're in for a Timed Xbox Exclusive Treat which seeing as the next Uncharted game has been delayed until 2019 or whenever it's a big deal. I'd really like more tombs to raid, slightly more fluid combat, expanded skill tree and of course more supernatural elements.
4. Quantum Break Game play would go some way to putting my "It's never going to ship" nightmares to rest. It's the most delayed game since, well, forever and it's starting to piss me off that we haven't seen more than a few minutes of Game play.It looks incredible and the developer has real pedigree making the Alan Wake Series that i really loved on the 360
5. Ubisoft announces new Ghost Recon Series this one is total pie in the sky but i would love to see the Ghosts returning after doing so well last gen the time is right to hop back into their combats and shoots some random brown people in the face with a variety of near future weaponry. Hopefully the mule returns but this time it has a fucking massive chaingun on the front that decimates everything.
6. Games With Gold becomes less shit for Xbox One owners. Whilst i appreciate there is less choice for Microsoft to give away every month but there are some quality games out there that are not exactly selling like hot cakes any more and on the months where the offerings are more akin to being sold a shit sandwich in a new deli why not add 2 free movie rentals?
7. Windows 10 and Xbox streaming is something that i'm really interested in having been part of the Windows 10 preview since day one i've been really impressed with the Windows 10 Xbox App and it's seemless integration with Xbox live. It's smoother than using your console and more feature rich as well. I often sit on the Xbox with my Tablet next to me and switch between fingerblasters.com and the Xbox App.
8. Direct X 12 improvements are numerous for Xbox One and almost to the point where i personally feel it was always designed to launch with the Xbox One. It may not totally close the power gap between the Xbox One and the PS4 but it will go some way to putting the stupid resolution war to bed. It would be nice if the Dashboard got a massive update as well and wasn't so crap to navigate all the time.

So that's my list what's everyone else looking forward to the most?

1. Fallout 4
2. Assassins Creed - even though the new game will be badly broken and disappoint in the end we can but hope
3. Uncharted 4 (sorry)

Uncharted 4? Steve with the curve ball. I'll stick with ROTR thank you.

If they did another Ghost Recon game I would be so happy. The last one game play was actually half decent. Sure the cutscenes looked like they'd be rendered on the Playstation One. But the game itself was cool and with 4 players even better.

Fallout 4 & hopefully the new Crackdown.

A full showing of the Windows 10 streaming including a release date & a full rundown of what hardware requirements were looking at needing.

I'll look into Uncharted 4 once I get a puss4.

Way too much to play in xbone in the mean time, added to all the 360 freebies & my ongoing Smash Bros addiction!

I'm half tempted for a PS4 given No Mans Sky and the Last of Us which I want to play. I think the former is a timed exclusive though so I'm in two minds. That and money issues obviously.

No Mans Sky will be coming to Xbox One but not next year. As for the Last of Us it's brilliant on both the PS3 and PS4 i didn't enjoy it anymore on the PS4 the graphics although super pretty didn't do much to be honest so i'd pick up a PS3 nice and cheap and play that. Some great games on the PS3 if you never had one just a shame mine died a rather spectacular death :-(

Your loss.

I played the first 3 on the PS3 and whilst i was impressed especially with the surprisingly brilliant multiplayer mode it didn't really click for me, certainly not enough to warrant me buying a PS4 again.

A new GRAW would be brilliant it's strange nothing has even been mentioned about it surely Ubisoft have a plan for that franchise along with Splinter Cell. Both have had a long enough break it's not like either got yearly releases is it?

Yeah No Mans Sky looks the business - but something tells me it will disappoint.

Naughty Dog games are the business though - everyone should sample them.

Naughty Dog are the Jewel in Sony's crown. I like the way they do things their own way, fuck everyone else they have a vision for a game and just deliver, every time.

In no particular order...

Rise of the Tomb Raider - the last game was my highlight of that year (plus the whole mysterious ruins/Japanese thing was the biz) so hopefully they might have a bit more puzzlin' and tombin' this time.
No Man's Sky - I love the 70s sci-fi art vibe (Chris Foss FTW) and I'm prepared to wait for an XBO release if it has some kind of fun MP action. Like Steve, I'm a little bit wary of this, its supposed to be out this year but there hasn't been any gameplay footage and the problem you always risk with procedurally generated universes is there isn't enough to do (Elite Dangerous suffered this in the beta buts its been improved by more missions, new factions and the like)
Uncharted 4 - I love the previous game, they are great fun. If I saw a Uncharted 4 bundle with discounted Uncharted 1-3 collection, I'd snap up a PS4 immediately.
Battlefront - After the disaster of BF4 and the 'I'm not even going there' dross of BF Hardline, I'm sorely wanting for a good MP shooter and I'm hoping Star Wars and DICE will combine to form something great.
Halo 5 - I'm pap at Halo's multiplayer but I genuinely love the story in the Halo games. It's not high art but its damn entertaining.

The Out There list

Unannounced Star Wars Game From EA With Amy Hennig From Naughty Dog in Charge - seriously, a Star Wars game with the woman who oversaw the story/cutscenes from Uncharted. FUCKING YES.
Splinter Cell - lets be honest, the last game, Blacklist made me so fucking angry. Like grinding my teeth with rage angry. But I payed 40 and by God, I got my moneys worth out of it by 100%ing it. The co-op campaign with Teamwork Dave was fun though. The lack of Ironside voice, the fact Sam Fisher is now a complete dick who pisses off everyone, the janky daylight missions, dogs with radar vision, the obligatory inclusion of a more run and gun action gameplay to hook retards (trying to be all things to all men and failing. You're a stealth game, stick to what you know), the nonsense plot, the stupid having to buy upgrade nonsense (the best way to do a stealth playthough was to complete the game once so you could buy the complete best stealth suit. Fuck that, just give them the equipment and an objective and I'll figure it out myself). But I love the series and I'm hoping the inevitable next game will refresh things

Things I Have No Feelings For

Rainbow 6 Siege - I'm still not sold on the concept of a game built around 5-10 minute MP matches. Looks interesting enough I suppose but I'll wait for reviews before I make any decision.
Assassins Creed Syndicate - I've really enjoyed the series and Unity for all its flaws (boring story, main character who fucks up everything) was a beautiful game. But honestly, Syndicate does nothing for me. Maybe I've reached the saturation point? Maybe its the "cor blimey guv, we're east end Landahners" main characters are just ehhhhh. Whatever it is, its another game in the series I will no longer buy on launch (on a tangent, if you've liked previous games, pick up Rogue on the 360, its cracking, story is fun, character is likeable. Good stuff and its cheap as chips at the moment)

Fuck i forgot to mention The Division which i hope gets some serious love at E3 it's gone worryingly quiet apart from the news that Ubisoft were throwing yet another studio into it's development. Possibly good news that they were taking development seriously or they are in such a mess they are just throwing all the money at it.

Rainbow 6 i'm pretty MEH about it the community will either make or break it and as we know typically it's break as gamers are on mass a bag or writhing, festering, puss riddled dicks.

So what was up with BF4 and why is Hardline been blackballed?

I tried BF4 for a few hours a while back - it was just the same as BF3 to me so i binned it. Didnt have any connection problems though.

BF4 was just a shoddy release, broken beyond belief. Its fixed and playable now but after year, thats not something to be proud of. Hardline was just fucking silly. The concept is moronic, game modes are just tired re-hashes (there is one game mode, escort the VIP and its almost impossible for the bodyguards/VIP to lose, when you can populate a server), it really is a glorified expansion pack. The problem is EA is desperate to beat CoD but since BF4 tarnished the brand badly and Hardline isn't setting the world on fire, its probably going to have some effect on Battlefront. I wouldn't buy a DICE game on release ever again, because I get the distinct impression they don't actually know what they're doing.

The old Dice are long gone Sam most of them bailed after the last Bad Company game, it's nearly impossible to replace that kind of talent and EA aren't exactly patient with release Schedules it's either ready and on the shelves or broken and on the shelves. Maybe they have taken all the issues with BF4 on-board and have all the QA and testing processes in place to prevent this happening again as have 343i.

I went off them after the blatant cash grab with BF3, but i still gave BF4 a go (eventually).

Very samey though.

If they just released Bad Company 2 on next gen systems it would be the last Battlefield game I ever bought.

I got bored of all the pointless driving in the campaign MP was good fun though the later games just feel more like a tech demo than an actual game.

DICE can make an exceedingly pretty campaign, guns are meaty but they have no concept on how to make a compelling story with interesting characters

Bad Company 2 story wasnt too bad. At the time i thought it was "just ok" but looking whats come along since it now looks like a masterpiece.

I actually enjoyed BC2 - it was pure nonsense but it committed to it (plus I love the whole 'hidden weapons of WW2' angle). BF3/4 are just these joyless paint-by-number copies of the Modern Warfare series.
